Very nice Hank.. The vehicles made the painting for me. Which red, blue and yellow did you use?
Thanks Jeff. I usually omit cars from my cityscapes but this one needed them. These are W&N Artisans. Cadmium Yellow Hue (Arylide Yellow), Cadmium Red Hue (Naphthol Red), Ultramarine. There was a point in the painting where I wished I had used Alizarin (Quinacridone) instead of the Cadmium Red Hue but I think it worked out OK.
Thanks for the info Hank.. The cars worked well in the painting. I’m not sure if it was the extra elements or the the different shapes or a combination of factors but they really draw the eye and set off the buildings.. I really like this piece!
